  • Storage Capacity: All four cameras can handle up to a 128GB MicroSD Card.
  • Voice Control: The 4k+ offers it, the Lite does not, and both of the GoPros have voice control, although the Hero6 features “Expanded” voice control.
  • Outputs: The 4k+ and Lite have USB Type-C, Bluetooth, and Wifi. The GoPros have all that plus HDMI Micro output.
  • Touch Display: All four cameras have touch display.
  • Batteries: The Yi cameras advertise up to 130 minutes of battery life while the GoPros mention their Removeable 1220mAh Lithium Ion batteries but make no mention of time. All four cameras come with one battery each.
  • Included Accessories: All four of these cameras only include the camera, single battery, and connectivity cables. The waterproof case is sold separately for the Yi cameras or can be bundled at time of purchase.

Yi 4k+ & Lite Reviews: What do travelers think of these cameras?

Earlier in the year there was a firmware issue with the Yi cameras and some users were disappointed about the issues that resulted due to that. Users spoke highly about the video resolution, but some people mentioned that the port covers (like the USB-C) were flimsy and often fell off. There also mention of a problem with a “slow SD card” which was affecting recording. Some users mentioned to hold off until all the bugs were ironed out, while others seemed to be fine after a firmware update.
