Ready to save the planet? đ Meet Drew Goff – a biology professor at UNC Charlotte who is using his sphere of influence to make a difference beyond the classroom by cleaning up local creeks and rivers with his students. You can also watch and share this video on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
Join us at Little Sugar Creek in Charlotte NC for a Saturday morning trash cleanup and learn how these students and their professor are doing more than just cleaning up a creek… they're saving THE ENTIRE OCEAN one piece of trash at a time.
Special thanks to Professor Goff's summer biology class for dedicating their Saturday morning to helping their ambitious professor clean up their beautiful city and for allowing me to join them and document their project.
You may think that you're just one person, and your impact is minimal, but the reality is we've all got networks, social circles, officemates, sports teams, clubs, and spheres of influence, that we can leverage to make a difference beyond that which we can accomplish on our own. Through local cleanup projects and education initiatives, you can help make your communities aware of the severity of the problem that we as a world are facing.
