Say Something: The Inner Dialogue of a Solo Traveler

by | Nov 20, 2018 | Videos | 0 comments

Are you ever nervous to strike up a conversation with a stranger when you're traveling alone? Do you often play out in your head how a conversation will go before it happens? Well you're not alone!

Starting a conversation with a stranger is scarier for some travelers than jumping out of a plane. Being social is a muscle that atrophies when you don't use it – for introverts and extroverts alike. This video explores the inner dialogue of a traveler as he musters up all the courage he's got to strike up a conversation with the person next to him on a plane – only to discover that it's not so scary after all.

Special thanks to Amanda (@seasonalsweets4) for guest starring in my video. I met Amanda on a flight from AVL to FLL and she was happy to take part in the idea after I pitched her the script (which I had the idea for and wrote on the plane). You never know who you're going to sit next to on a flight, so you might as well say “hi” and find out!

If you like it then you should've put a Pin on it!
