Right now we're dealing with a world changing, economy changing, society changing, life as we know it changing crisis. In the midst of it all, here is what the world needs from YOU right now. You can also watch and share this video on Facebook and YouTube.
UPDATE: On July 21, 2020 I published a follow up to this video entitled “The World's 5 Stages of Grief“.
This situation is hard for you. I know it is, because it's hard for me too. This is hitting everyone a little differently psychologically and economically, but it's affecting us all nonetheless. So I ask that you offer compassion to everyone around you — not just your family and friends and coworkers — but also your neighbors, members of your community, and even strangers on the Internet.
The virus itself will make some people sicker than others, but no-one's going to be immune to the aftermath.
The world needs you to be strong right now. Strong for yourself and strong for each other. Even the folks who put a smile on their face and see the world as half filled glass could use your strength right now, so don't take them for granted. We've all got a breaking point, and when the mighty fall, they'll need you to help pick them back up again.
#3) FOCUS ON THE COMMON GOOD
We're going to be put through many tests in the coming years — and one of the biggest tests we'll be put through is whether, in a time of global crisis and recovery, we put ourselves first or we put the common good ahead of the individual. Now more than ever, we need to focus on putting the common good ahead of ourselves.
We've given the world, and our governments, and major corporations a lot of opportunities in the past to do the right thing, and many times they've failed us. But right now we need to wipe the slate clean. The old rules no longer apply. The future of humanity isn't a bipartisan goal. Right now, we need to put the common good of the world ahead of ourselves, and take accountability wherever we personally can to make that happen. The world is literally counting on it.
Stay safe my friends. And remember… travel isn't just about getting on a plane and changing locations. Your ideas, beliefs, and energy can travel the globe, from the comfort of your home. And it's up to you where you take them. So… happy travels.
What's quarantine like where you are?
Drop me a comment below and please tell me what life is like where you are. I published this video today from my house in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, USA where the town is on voluntary lockdown. Many restaurants and stores have voluntarily closed, schools are closed, and most people are choosing to stay home and self-quarantine. However at the moment, there are no mandatory curfews or restrictions. What's it like where you are?
