What’s the world record for completing the Pacific Crest Trail?

The Pacific Crest Trail spans 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington. Hikers cross 26 National Forests, 7 National Parks, 5 State Parks and 4 National Monuments. It takes average hikers 5 months to complete the trail. Joe McConaughy set the record in 2014, completing the entire trail in 53 days, 6 hours and 37 minutes.

UPDATE 2016: Karel Sabbe, a 26-year-old dentist from Belgium, has set a new record on the Pacific Crest Trail of 52 days, 8 hours, and 25 minutes!
