I wholeheartedly agree with that statement by Mark Twain from his book The Innocents Abroad: Roughing It. Travel is good for you. Good for the world. And good for our souls. Generally we're scared of what we don't know – and travel fills that void about each other.

I've been working on an essay for over a year entitled Why Travel is Good, but it's not complete. It might never be complete. There are too many reasons. I genuinely believe that many of the world's problems regarding prejudice and racism would be healed by travel. It's a gift I wish everyone had the opportunity to share.
