I recently appeared on thousands of news stations and publications around the world. ABC News, Fox, Newsweek, Washington Post, CBC Radio, and even Jimmy Fallon! Here's the story of when I went viral. You can also watch and share this video on Facebook and YouTube.
Last month, I broke into a home in Miami Florida and I spent the night in a stranger's bed. I thought it was my Airbnb, but it turns out it was the next door neighbor's guest house.
The media went wild for this story. It was literally everywhere.
- It all started when I shared the story on my Facebook and Instagram the day it happened.
- Then Channel 7 Miami picked up the story and interviewed me
- Next Will Ganss with ABC World News Now did an interview and the story aired internationally
- Hannah Sampson with the Washington Post also did an interview and wrote a piece on me
- Next came Newsweek
- I popped in on a Twitch Stream while a guest was making jokes about me
- CBC Radio did a radio interview and article about the story
- Jimmy Fallon made a joke about me in his opening monologue.
- Daily Mail TV did an interview and story
- I appeared on the Evan Solomon Show
- The list goes on, and on, and on!
My Airbnb story was syndicated by local news stations all over the world from here to Australia. Everyone I knew messaged me telling me that they saw me on their local news station! People I hadn't heard from in over 20 years saw me on TV and reached out.
Doing interviews with some of the biggest names in media was an absolute riot. I had a blast! People loved the Airbnb story. And given the positive outcome of NOT being murdered after intruding in someone's home, I enjoyed telling it!
It was fun while it lasted, but now that my 15 minutes in the spotlight are over, it's just another story that my friends make fun of me for, for the rest of my life.
Happy Travels everyone!
A don't forget to lock your doors tonight, or you just might wake up and find me sleeping in your guest bedroom. 😂
