- Video Resolution: The Powpro PowX captures video up to 4k/30fps which is the same as the GoPro Hero5 and less than the GoPro Hero6 in terms of frames per second which can capture up to 4K/60fps.
- Photo Resolution: The Powpro PowX can take photos at 12MP resolution and that is the same image resolution as both the GoPro Hero5 and Hero6.
- Waterproof Capabilities: The Powpro PowX includes a waterproof case which you can use to take the camera down to 100 feet. The GoPros do not require a case but only say they can go down to 33 feet.
- Storage Capacity: The Powpro PowX can take up to a 32GB card whereas the GoPro Hero5 and Hero6 both allow up to 128GB.
- Voice Control: The Powpro PowX does not have voice control capabilities, where as both the GoPro Heros do offer voice control.
- Outputs: The Powpro PowX can output via HDMI, USB, and WiFi. The GoPro Hero5 and Hero6 also have those outputs and additionally Bluetooth.
- Display: The Powpro PowX has a non-touch 2″ LCD color display. The GoPro Hero5 and Hero6 also have 2″ displays but they are touch screen.
- Batteries: The Powpro PowX comes with 2 rechargeable 1050mAh Li-ion batteries. The GoPro Hero5 and Hero6 each come with one removable 1220mAh Lithium Ion battery.
- Included Accessories: The Powpro PowX box includes the camera, waterproof case, leather strip case, wireless remote control, two batteries, charging cables, and a variety of clips, mounts, and brackets. The GoPro Hero 5/6 come with the camera, one battery, and charging cables.
Powpro PowX AMK6000S Reviews: What do travelers think of this camera?
Two good signs for the PowPro camera are that it has all 4/5 star reviews, and the majority of their reviews are from verified purchases. Users seem very happy with the quality of the camera including the resolution and ease of use. Many have posted videos so you can see the camera quality in action. One con mentioned was the battery door which felt flimsy and may eventually break with heavy use. And one user mentioned that there was no battery life indicator showing that the battery was fully charged.
About Powpro the brand
I could not find any information about the Powpro brand, not the be confused with LED lighting system rental house with the same name. It appears as if all of their cameras are sold on Amazon, eBay, or other marketplaces. But don't let that dissuade you, however, as the camera has great reviews and of course is backed by Amazon's customer friendly return policy.
